Westchester Game Night DJ
Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. (MSG Sports) is a leading professional sports company, with a collection of assets that includes the New York Knicks (NBA) and the New York Rangers (NHL), as well as two development league teams – the Westchester Knicks (NBAGL) and the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL). Who are we hiring?
The In-house DJ creates music mixes during Westchester Knicks games, curating the sound of the team’s brand, and building the atmosphere and energy of the event. The In-house DJ reports to the Manager, Event Presentation.
What will you do?
- Attends pregame meetings to review and anticipate event needs.
- Executes music mixes during ingress, warmups, and egress.
- Selects music during timeouts and stoppages with focus on proper emotional tone.
- Executes musical cues for contests, ceremonies, and other on-court presentations.
- Executes music cues (beats, sound effects, stings) from Instant Replay unit.
- Takes cues from Westchester Knicks Game Director and follows game scripts.
What do you need to succeed?
- 2 years DJ experience in a live venue setting.
- Expert in current DJ mixing software.
- Familiarity with digital audio playback units.
- Ability to follow game scripts and execute against them.
- Ability to execute music strategy developed by WCK Event Presentation Manager.
