General Questions:

I submitted my application a few days ago. How long will it take before I am contacted for an interview?

You will receive an email once your resume has been entered into our database. If an opportunity matches your qualifications, a member of our People Practices team will contact you to schedule an interview.

If I don’t see any opportunities that match my qualifications or interest me, should I still create a profile?

Yes. Opportunities are added daily, and our recruiters are constantly assessing and evaluating all resumes to match them with open positions. You can also sign up for email alerts that will keep you updated on new openings as they become available.

Are all open positions listed on the website?

Yes. All full-time, part-time and event-driven opportunities are listed on our site. We also have opportunities listed for Student Associates.

What should I wear to my interview?

We suggest that you wear professional attire appropriate for a first interview.

I’m an employee interested in pursuing a different opportunity at MSG Sports, should I apply?

Yes. We support the personal and professional growth of our employees and our open positions are often filled by current employees. All open positions are posted online, and all candidates must apply online to be considered for a position. If you meet the position requirements, a member of our People Practices team will reach out to schedule an interview. Please feel free to contact your People Practices partner to have an individual conversation regarding your interests and career growth plan.

Is it possible to transfer within the Company?

After working for a minimum of one year in your current role (six months for part-time to full-time transitions and revenue generating sales roles within Marketing Partnerships or Ticketing), you are eligible to transfer to another job within the Company. Your eligibility to transfer is based on the availability of a position for which you are qualified, your qualifications for the position, successfully going through the interview process and your selection for the position.

Student Associate Program Questions:

If I am interested in a student opportunity with MSG Sports, when should I apply?

Resumes are accepted on a rolling basis and our Student Associate positions do fill up quickly. Our recruitment schedule follows:

How do I know what departments are hiring Student Associates?

We offer positions in Counter Logic Gaming, Corporate Development & Strategy, Finance, Marketing, Bookings, Sales and Sports. During initial screenings, candidates are asked to express their interest and preference according to their past experience(s). People Practices will evaluate your qualifications during the interview process and will determine what area of business is the best fit.

Is there an opportunity for full-time employment after the Student Associate position?

While we cannot guarantee full-time employment when you complete your Student Associate assignment, we do strongly support the career growth and development of our students.

What are the requirements of the Student Associate opportunity?

To be eligible for the Student Associate Program, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a college or university working toward a degree
  • Must be rising Junior, Senior or Graduate-level student
  • Provide a letter from your school verifying enrollment (upon offer).
  • Student Associates must work a minimum of a 21-hour work week and a maximum 35-hour work week (35 hours preferred).  Summer Associates are required to work 35 hours
  • GPA of 3.2 or above is required.

Is it a paid opportunity?

Yes. We are also happy to work with our students to provide college credit in order to fulfill school requirements.
