New York, N.Y., November 1, 2019 – The New York Knicks announced today that Gregg Schwartz has been promoted to Vice President, Public Relations, effective immediately. Mr. Schwartz has been a member of the Knicks public relations staff for more than a decade, most recently serving as Senior Director, Public Relations.

As Vice President, Mr. Schwartz will serve as head of Knicks public relations, responsible for developing and executing communications plans for all announcements; working closely with the team’s management, coaching staff and players on media appearances; and driving proactive publicity efforts. He will continue to travel with the team on a full-time basis and serve as a liaison to local, national and international media. Mr. Schwartz will also manage the execution of game-night operations for media and work closely with alumni relations. He will oversee the Knicks public relations staff and will report to Patrick Sandusky, Senior Vice President, Sports Public Relations for The Madison Square Garden Company.

Mr. Schwartz joined the Knicks organization in 2008 as a Media Relations Coordinator. Prior to joining the Knicks, Mr. Schwartz worked in the New York Jets Public Relations Department. Mr. Schwartz graduated from Indiana University in 2005 with a BS in Sports Communications and a minor in Business.
