Rangers Accept the Fanatics ALL IN Challenge
NEW YORK, April 20, 2020 – The New York Rangers have accepted the Fanatics “ALL IN Challenge”.
Fanatics are rallying the sports industry to raise $100 million in support of national COVID relief efforts to directly feed those in need. In this effort, 100% of all funds raised will be donated directly to the charity partners that are tackling food insecurities, such as Feeding America, Meals On Wheels, World Central Kitchen and No Kid Hungry.
In accepting the ALL IN Challenge, the Rangers have collaborated with several of the franchise’s legends to organize a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity – the chance to skate and play with members of the 1994 Stanley Cup Championship team. Fans are able to bid on this experience via the following link on the Fanatics website. This opportunity features a game at Madison Square Garden in which the winner of the auction will get to play against a team that includes Rangers legends Mark Messier, Brian Leetch, Mike Richter, and Adam Graves. Mike Keenan, the Head Coach of the Rangers’ 1994 Stanley Cup Championship team, will be on hand as well. The game will be announced by MSG Network’s broadcast team from the team’s Championship season – current Rangers play-by-play announcer Sam Rosen and current Rangers President John Davidson.
In addition, Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist is giving fans the opportunity to purchase his game-used mask from the 2010-11 season. Fans can bid on Lundqvist’s game-used mask via the following link on the Fanatics website. During the 2010-11 season, Lundqvist led the NHL with a career-high 11 shutouts, earned 36 wins, and played in the 2011 NHL All-Star Game.
