Knicks will have one selection in the virtual draft

WHITE PLAINS, NY – January 11, 2021 – The 2020-21 NBA G League Draft will be held today, Jan. 11 at 1:00 p.m. ET. The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, will be one of 17 G League teams to have the opportunity to select in the three-round Draft, which will be conducted via Zoom.

The ninth overall pick belongs to Westchester from Oklahoma City via Canton Charge. Presumptively, due to roster size, Westchester will forgo its third pick of the second round and third pick of the third round.

Ahead of last season, then-rookie guard Tyler Hall was drafted fourth overall out of Montana State University. The earliest Westchester has chosen in the draft was second in 2015, selecting Jimmer Fredette.

Only players signed to a 2020-21 NBA G League Standard Player Contract will be eligible to be drafted. Teams will not be required to make any selections in the draft. Once a team declines on selecting, they may not make another pick for the remainder of the draft. At the conclusion of the draft, teams may have no more than 10 players on their roster.

Coverage and updates on the draft will be featured on NBAGLEAGUE.com with the first selection taking place at approximately 1:15 p.m. ET.
